The coolest of designs can be sometimes the most simple and ergonomically sound ones. The WoodStation is one of those gadgets that woos you with its simple look and yet fits in perfectly even in the most stylish homes and offices. This wooden weatherman is both smart and eco-friendly. Apart from its planet-friendly face, the WoodStation only switches on and gives you a visible report of the atmosphere around you when you approach it. A built-in motion sensor allows the gadget to switch on at your arrival. It shows time, weather details, barometric pressure measurements, indoor temperature and hygrometry information.
The display is simply too cool to pass on, and the fact that designer Sébastien Wallet could create such a beautiful and elegant piece from something so natural really caught us by surprise - a pleasant one, of course. The designer tells that this is not a concept and it will soon be available at a price of €99.
The Dark Side:
The WoodStation looks and feels so eco-friendly that it is really hard to point a finger at something. I just hope that the display is LED lit.
